FAQ

What is your shooting style?
Our approach varies depending on the personality of our clients. Some people very naturally express their emotions, while others need a little more guidance or encouragement. Whatever the case, the goal is to capture who you are in a meaningful and artistic way. A picture is worth a thousand words — check out the gallery!

Do you provide images on a disc?
Wedding packages include a DVD disc with fully edited images printable up to 4″ x 6″.  Full-resolution image files on disc are available as an add-on. All other portrait or family sessions also include images on DVD (typically 30-50 images) with full printing rights.

What types of prints and albums do you offer?
We use Fuji Professional PD Lustre for our prints. Albums range in size from 4″ x 4″ up to 12″ x 12″ and are wrapped with animal-friendly soft linen. We do not provide leather-bound albums. We also offer premium gallery wrapped canvas prints in sizes ranging fom  5×5 to larger than you can imagine!

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?
Within 48 hours, we’ll post some of our favourite shots from your event on the blog. You can expect access to your online password-protected gallery within about three weeks; DVD discs are sent by mail within the same period. If you’ve been given your event code, you may enter your event code on the client login page.

What is your philosophy on pricing and à la carte services?
We offer completely customized packages so many of our services are added a la carte. This ensures that you are purchasing only what you really want. What we really want is for you to have and enjoy and share your images. We offer the most competitive service and printing prices in the area. We agree that good talent isn’t cheap, but a good print should never break the bank. We’re in this because we love it – and we want you to get as much out of the experience as we do.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?
Yes.

If you require a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
We try to time our breaks during natural lulls in the action on your wedding day. If we are with you long enough (i.e., full day wedding coverage), then we will require a meal. We don’t mind eating standing up or with some other informal arrangement.

Do you charge for travel?
Travel fees are calculated on a case-by-case basis. Generally, fees will apply only if we must travel outside the Greater Niagara Area, or if more than two locations are part of your itinerary.

What kind of equipment do you typically bring with you? Backup equipment?
We always come to a shoot with at least two state-of-the-art Canon cameras and several of the brand’s best lenses. On wedding days, we’ll show up with at least three cameras and even more lenses–and flashes, too. Lots of backups. After a shoot, your image files are immediately backed up to three locations to ensure safe-keeping.

Do you have any tips to help clients prepare for their photoshoot?
Contribute creative ideas.
Plan a loose schedule for the session day so you arrive in a relaxed and positive mood.
Participate actively and enthusiastically! The shoot is what you make it!
Any special accessories or items that uniquely define who you are will help to make your images more meaningful.
Think of places or environments that are significant to you, especially for engagement sessions.

What should clients wear to the photoshoot?
Before your appointment, we will discuss the goals and location of your shoot, and plan accordingly.

What are you doing to keep your business green?
Our webhosting service is powered completely by renewable energy sources.
We use public transportation as often as we can (we love to walk and ride our bikes everywhere in the summer!).
We do not endorse the use of animal-derived products. As such, our albums are 100% animal-friendly.
